Turnkey System Upgrade for a Leading Pharmaceutical Supplier

We are proud to be playing a central role in the delivery of a cutting-edge turnkey system upgrade for a leading pharmaceutical supplier in Cork.

This incredible facility is central to the manufacturing, quality control, and distribution of products produced by the company throughout the European Union and other international markets.

Our in-house multi-disciplinary teams are positioned to support all functions of the project delivery. Both our pipework and metal fabrication workshops are carrying out works from our headquarters in Cork, to supply our project delivery teams on site with a range of mechanical installs.

Our established specialists bring a wealth of experience to engineering projects of this type. Having carried out a range of turnkey system upgrades in live environments many times before, our accomplished teams are collaborating closely with the client to ensure robust project management and a right-first-time project delivered on schedule.

Isolation, Strip Out & Mechanical Pipework Install

Works are underway in the Cork facility for the replacement of an existing compressed air generation system, with a new high efficiency system that will include a highly efficient cooled air compressor, wet and dry receivers, desiccant heated dryers, as well as a range of interconnecting and distribution pipework.

Other mechanical works will be required to facilitate the installation of new compressed air pipework, such as new ducting from the compressors and dryers, and the re-positioning of existing services.

The scope of works involves the installation of 316L stainless steel Schedule 10 pipework within the plantroom, along with the setup of Mapress 316L stainless steel pipework, including the installation of all associated Mapress and Habonim valves.

Additionally, the project includes the thorough degreasing of all pipeworks and valves, as well as the installation of drainage pipework. Further tasks include the installation of 316L stainless steel ductwork connected to the new compressor, along with the application of sound absorption material to the corresponding ductwork to ensure noise reduction.

PSCS Responsibilities

Having been appointed as the Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage, these PSCS responsibilities will be carried out throughout the project lifecycle by managing and co-ordinating the safety procedures and safe systems of work on site.

Co-ordinating and consulting with MEP Engineering Services as project supervisor for the design process to eliminate and control hazards throughout the design, construction and on-going use for the duration of the project.

We are overseeing the health & safety procedures for all contractors within the PSCS designated area, and we are looking forward to delivering a safe project to the agreed schedule.
