Rockwell takes part in Engineers Week 2025

As part of Engineers Week (March 3rd – 7th), Rockwell had the privilege of engaging with 5th and 6th-year students from two Cork secondary schools-Coachford College and Scoil Mhuire gan Smál in Blarney.

Our team delivered informative talks on the diverse world of engineering, providing insights into the exciting career opportunities within the field. The key message for the day was that, no matter how your Leaving Cert goes or where your strengths lie, there is a place in engineering for a wide range of talents, and the industry offers a pathway for everyone with the right mindset and passion for problem-solving! We finished up with a fun challenge that encouraged teamwork, communication, and critical thinking—skills that are essential in engineering!

A big thank you to Cian Hennessy, Michael O Riordan, Mark Hall, Benjamin Geary, Harry O’Donnell, Mark O’Flynn, Maria Lunyk, Mark Logan and Teigan Stapleton for dedicating their time and expertise to inspire the next generation! Thank you to Deirdre Lynch, Blarney and Jen O’Dwyer, Coachford for welcoming us and hosting the sessions.

Engineers Week, run by the Engineers Ireland STEPS programme, is an initiative aimed at introducing primary and secondary school students to the endless possibilities within the world of engineering.
